Páty is a village in Pest County, on Budapest - Zsámbék road axis, located along the motorway linking the capital city with Vienna. Budakeszi and Zsámbéki Basin is connected through the Honey-valley, which gains the "Paty gate" name.
The village has been inhabited since ancient times. The private collections of the local landowners include monumental values from Copper and Bronze Age, and the National Museum’s collection is also a rich one.
The testimony of the Roman stone inscriptions prove that the Main Fountain at the border of the village attracted the interest of the residents of Aquincum, because they considered that there is healing water in it. They constructed a bath near the fountain with healing effect, thus making the settlement flourish.
Paty can be approached from Budapest by Volán bus, starting from the Hay square.
