Simontornya is situated in the South-Western part of Hungary, in Tolna County, near to the Sio Canal, at about 120 kilometers from Budapest and 50 kilometers from Szekszard. Lake Balaton can be approached easily from here, being only at 40 kilometers fare from the village.
The main attraction of the settlement is its castle, which is situated at a square of the town, close to the centre.
The history of the castle dates back to the early 20th century. The beautiful, secession style castle is under reconstruction, with only one chamber that can be visited.
Simontornya is an ideal place for peaceful holidays amidst vineyards and clean, fresh air.
