Zamárdi is a 'large village' in Somogy County in Hungary near to Siofok (10 km west) on the southern beach of the Lake Balaton.
The settlement has got 2.312 inhabitants, all of them are Hungarians.
The name of Zamárdi is mentioned in written documents of the era, at first in a certificate dated 1082, then in the authentic certificate of King Stephen the Third dated 1171. In the 16th century, the Turkish army totally destructed the villages, and the area was abandoned for a very long time.
A very extensive archeology find has been discovered here from the Avarian cemetery which was probably one of the largest and richest burial grounds in the Carpathian Basin.

You can find Viktoria Guest House and Restaurant in the heart of the well known, nice holiday resort, Zamardi, on the south part of Middle Europe’s largest lake, the Balaton, 250 meters from the beach and 8 kilometers far from Siofok in a pleasant environment.
We offer accommodation is 11 rooms, equipped with Tv and bathroom.
In the Hotel’s restaurant you can choose from a big variety of dishes and drinks, inside there is a place for 35 people and there is a roofed terrace for 120 person.
In our environment you can find a train station, the bus stop, the grocery, the surgery, a football field and the post office.
